Hello folks!

As you probably noticed "Girls Sanctum" is no longer available. I rent it from DJ for one year and gave it back after this time. Sanctum was firstly called "Girls PublicServer", then "Girls Woohoo!". Sanctum is now the Community EU Public Server with EvO Settings. I also recommended some active Sanctum referees I trust which are now referee on EvO EU Public and EU Community Public.

I want to thank all admins and refs who did a good job. It was the most enjoying time in Savage for me.

I was also involved into this discussion at newerth.com where we tried to keep newerth.com an independant community. As result, EvO is paying now for their own server and not the newerth donators anymore. The newerth donators just finance the independant services of newerth. We also wanted to achieve more community control in terms of server size, refs and settings, but at least the server names got changed of those servers which are running on the newerth box and are therefore partially financed by donators.

Well it really was more fun in the days of Girls Public, mostly because there were more (fun) people.

Kinda sad to see how Savage is slowly dying (only the whores are still here ^^) ...

Well, there was no NSL and no public statspage at newerth.com. The general playing style was more cooperative and less competitive and less stats orientated. There were more good (not messed up by mods) small servers that allowed rather private games. And I have to admit that even the bigger servers were more fun for me since teams were mostly even. There was a interesting vote at newerth recently that shows that today most players prefer humans on big servers. Do you remember the mining xp thread? DJ said something like it's bad idea to reduce the slots since it will be difficult to find commanders for each game and the warmup will take longer.

Since Mpuk is very bad populated and there are only the modded high xp H-L servers and the huge EvO server with its human stacks I may consider to get Sanctum/Woohoo! back in a smaller edition:

32 slots (maybe 2 VIP)
Chocolate Savage XP settings
22 or 24 seconds respawntime
1500 or 2000 starting gold, 12000 max
small but good maprotation (most important part)
shit maps are all deleted as usual
plus some reasonable weapon balancing from Chocolate Savage
Same referees as before, maybe some sorting out

I'm not sure yet.

Well I kinda would love to see girls back, however I doubt it makes much sense to get it back right now.
Savage just doesn't have enough players anymore for so much servers and the past kinda showed that most people either don't know or don't care about the different server settings . Newerth EU pub and 1 other Server with >= 40 slots are enough for almost all EU players these days (plus summer is coming back right now, so even less players will be online soon ^^).

Personally I don't like big servers much. I enjoy ~10 player games the best.
